Harvard Alumni for Black Advancement will host a virtual fireside chat entitled, "Vaccines: Beyond Hesitancy, Let's Talk Access" on Thursday, April 15th from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM EST.
The discussion will feature perspectives from experienced leaders in public health, medicine, healthcare, and government on how access impacts low vaccination rates in Black communities in contrast to the dominant narrative of vaccine hesitancy.
Panelists include pediatrician and public health advocate Dr. Rhea Boyd MPH '17, Prince George's County, Maryland Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health, Human Services, and Education Dr. George Askew AB '85, UnitedHealth Group Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility Dr. Nicole Cooper DrPH '17, epidemiologist and UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health Associate Professor Dr. Whitney Robinson AB '01, and Harvard Medical School MD-PhD student Dr. Chidi Akusobi PhD '20.
